In 1881 Albert was living with his parents at 5 Martin Street. He retired in 1916 from his post as a buyer for Lotus Ltd. By 1922 he was at 19 Garden Street.

Referred to as the “Father” of Stafford Swimming Club he had an interest in water polo. He was also a keen angler.

His brother Robert A Glass was the first Secretary of Stafford Bowling Club.
